A MOKORO TRIP FROM Sedia Riverside Hotel

Part of the Okavango Delta on your Doorstep

Take a Mokoro (canoe) ride on the Thamalakane River heading downstream from Sedia. Our Mokoro poler will punt you along the river, past the northern part of town. Hippos are occasionally seen on this trip (around Aug. to Dec.). You will glide past the Maun Game Sanctuary (where various antelopes species, zebras, warthogs and giraffes may sometimes be spotted)

This is an ideal and relaxing way to see the impressive variety of birds attracted to the river and its banks: ducks, jacanas, fish eagles, storks, egrets, starlings and many more. Return to Sedia by reverse route upstream…. Approx 2 hours duration.

NOTE : That this is a seasonal activity, only possible when the Thamalakane, the outflow of the Okavango Delta, flows through Maun (usually mid July to December - PLEASE check at the safari office for availability)
